Written by the CEO of a marketing firm, Building a StoryBrand walks you through the 7-step approach that Donald Miller has been using to help his clients create an appealing brand.

This was one of the first few Marcom books I picked up from Storytel’s audiobook catalogue. I found the writing, and consequently the narration, to be easy to grasp.
The author doesn’t use too much jargon; if you know your way around the marketing field, you’ll understand all of it and probably even be familiar with the elements of the framework that Donald Miller elaborates on.
In several instances, he also points to additional resources available on his website. I haven’t looked them up, so I don’t know. But you might find those templates helpful.
Those of you who are looking for some insight into the marketing firm side of things, may want to read this one.
What I appreciated the most about this book is how anecdotes are included to make it more relatable and persuasive.
That said, you are only one Google search away from finding many of the principles or parts of the framework. So, I wouldn’t recommend it as a must-read, especially to people who already have some knowledge of brand communication.
