This feels like admitting to a crime. It should be something normal, but it makes me cringe every time the thought passes through my mind. I finished my first book of 2015 on the 1st of Jan itself. And then came the… the…. horrid horrid reader’s block. Do you have those too? Am I not an outcast amidst all the bookaholics? Say yes, say yes!
So here’s what happened. I started Frankenstein the next day, spent some two days reading 20 pages each and then decided that it wasn’t settling well in my brain. Ditched it! A little more browsing and I found a splendid looking Melissa Marr thriller. Happily settled down before I realized I had tons of college work to do. After spending some time apart, I came back to get in groove with the protagonist(s). And again – couldn’t get into it. By then it was 11 in the night and with classes the next day, I decided I’d start from the beginning with a fresh mind the next day. Now its 7th of Jan and I haven’t read a single book in almost a week.
That’s not all. I totally forgot a friend’s birthday plus the fact that I signed up for Bout of Books 12.0. Gave myself a “good morning” knock over the head. Here’s to hoping that I find my reading enthusiasm lying around somewhere on the bed when I wake up tomorrow (Cheers!). All the books in the world aren’t going to read themselves. Someone has to get to the task!
Don’t Judge, okay?

Don’t worry, I had one a few weeks ago. They’re dreadful, but it will pass!
Oh thank God! 😀
I just made a quick visit to a favourite bookstore. I think I’m back on track with my reading 😛
