Blinded by the light
I stumbled onto a foreign land.
Words on the wind, guided me forth.
Leaving behind all moral restraints
I took on a one track mind.
My goal stood out at the end of the path
Beckoning me. In a haste,
I threw caution to the wind.
I let unfamiliarity befriend me.
Had I known of your story writing prowess
I would’ve been a different person.
Not a protagonist to your clichéd imagination.
If I hadn’t been thrown into the dark
I would’ve had a life to claim.
Not an act you fashioned with jealousy and contempt.
Here’s a toast hoping that
Next time around, I grasp the reins
I call the shots,
And I elicit a theatrical performance out of you.
