You Can’t Snatch That Dream

We all have dreams. We’ve all had dreams since we were born into this world. Dreams change as time passes. Some we achieve and some dreams slip out of our grasp. But dreams they all are. Regardless of  how big or small, they are all equally important. When there is hope, there are dreams. Where there are dreams, there is hope for the future. They are one of the most important ingredients to life.

We all live for our dreams and work to achieve them. Those fortunate, are by all means, a step ahead or so we like to think. But in actuality, those with enough passion and determination to drive themselves to the finishing line, are ten steps ahead. Resigning to fate and blaming thyself or others has never yielded  results. Even ones with very meagre means should able to achieve their dreams. They just have to try.

Innocent and gullible, some people seek encouragement from others. What they don’t know is, in this world, competitive spirit has a higher standing than humaneness. So most often they don’t hear the encouraging words. Bam! There goes another dream. Blown into pieces, for others to stomp on. They’d probably never even know of our dreams. An invisible existence it was. Seen by none, known to none. Whose loss? Ours. So we must not let out an opportunity for that to happen! All the encouragement we need is within ourselves and only we can provide ourselves with that kind of conviction to carry out our dreams.

Also sometimes, stepping out of the safe boundary is not easily accepted. They say “have realistic dreams”. But isn’t that an irony in itself?! Reality is what we make of our life. So any dream that we have is as real as our existence. We should be able to dream high and big without any restraints. Without anyone to tell us that it’s not going to work. We can make it work if we want to.

“You can’t snatch that dream. You can’t make that decision. Only I can.” – is what we ought to be telling anyone who tries to put us down.
