A true hero in my life,
She is as selfless as any freedom fighter the world has known.
Placing others before herself,
She is a very generous and forgiving person.
She is my mother, one of the most special people on earth and
the only one I would pick again and again, if it was upto me.
There’s so much I have learnt from her,
And so much yet to learn.
Every waking moment, I wish for her happiness.
That smile, to light up the room, to light up my mood.
There’s no end to the secrets we share, trusting each other and no one else.
No end to the laughter or comfort in each other’s presence.
The relief upon sharing some secret with her is immense.
It feels great to know that no matter what happens,
she’d always be there to listen and support.
Coming home from school, to see you waiting eagerly.
Waking up in the morning to your loving smile.
Watching you strive hard for our happiness.
Sacrificing everything for us.
Its moments like these, when your eyes twinkle with concern and affection,
That I am overjoyed at being your daughter.
You, trying to do everything in your power to see us content.
Emotional, over-protective, a little hot tempered,
I love you for everything you are,
For the tiniest bit of detail that defines you.
I wouldn’t ask you to change in anyway.
Even after all the naughty things we do,
you instantly forgive and forget. Its amazing how you do that!
I can go on and on writing the world’s longest poem. But I wanted to be able to sum up everything I had to say,in just a few verses. Hope you like it! A VERY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAREST MOM! I truly wish from the bottom of my heart that you find all happiness you seek. And that you stay strong during hardships even though I will be right by your side. Forever and Always ❤
